here is a tagline I thought would be good for the third movie if they ever made one; "when they first came, it was an extermination. When they returned, it was just business. now, it's personal". I like to think the third movie would have the aliens want revenge on humanity more than the earth since they killed one of their queens. Before dealing with us was like dealing with pests, second time was just more careful using a queen mother ship for more firepower since we proved we can handle their scout ships (the mother ship in ID4), now if they attacked again, they would throw their whole empire at us because now they wouldn't care about earth or the resistance or even the sphere, they would be mad enough to want us all extinct more than anything else. Thats pretty scary when you think about it and would make a good plot point in the 3 independence day movie.
