THE DOCTOR SERIES 2

- Donna had renewed her time lord mind by sharing the energy with the only other 'TimeLord/Human' hybrid in existence....River. The regenerative neurological link would mean that whenever Donnas mind begins to overwhelm her, Rivers mind would consume the energy thus renewing her own Regeneration cycles....possibly endlessly. However this would not come without consequence and their bond now means that when one dies, the other will also.

- The finale saw the return of the Doctor as well as one of his oldest and deadliest enemies...Omega. Omega wanted to find Gallifrey and use the power of the Timelords to consume the universe.

- It was discovered that because Donnas DNA is so Unique it was enough to confuse and scramble the fabric of time and open a gateway to other dimensions...including the Pocket Universe that healed Gallifrey.

- In a climatic battle with Omega, River and Jack used their own 'Immortal' energies to help Donna keep the Gateway open long enough to bring Gallifrey back into this dimension. The Doctor (whose memories he shares with Donna because of the metacrisis) willed her to 'Send to the furthest place you can remember'.

 Gallifrey hurtles to the other side of the known universe in our dimension and the gateway closes just as Omega jumps through it. Trapping him forever in another dimension.

- The Doctor asks Donna where she's sent Gallifrey. She tells him she doesn't know, she's never been there before.....but he has.

- With the Doctor and Clara now one giant leap closer to finding Gallifrey they set off once again on their quest leaving Donna and River to join the ranks at TORCHWOOD.
